Chris Brown, our lead trainer, was introduced to strength and conditioning programs at a young age. He played football throughout his childhood and into college. He was first team all-state selection his senior year in high school, and ranks in the top 10 in points scored in a season. He signed with Tuskegee University out of high school and played for a season there before joining the military.
Chris began CrossFit while stationed in the United States Army at Combat Outpost Monti, Afghanistan, as a squad leader in 2nd Battalion 503rd Infantry – the paratrooper battalion long known as the “Sky Soldiers.” He quickly realized CrossFit was a fitness program that would reliably raise his fitness level for combat and for everyday life. Chris continued his CrossFit training while stationed in Vicenza, Italy. Upon returning to the States after serving in the Army for over five years, Chris pursued a career as a CrossFit trainer. He currently has his CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit football and Olympic lifting certifications. He is also studying kinesiology (the scientific study of human movement) in conjunction with his CrossFit training.
